Here is an ultra rare and extremely aesthetic trilobite from a new road cut location in southern Indiana. This trilobite, Trimerus delphinocephalus, measures 3 1/2" long and is laid out almost perfectly on a natural piece of matrix. This specimen, as far as I know, is the only known complete Trimerus from the Waldron Shale. It has outstanding preservation and also happens to be extremely 3-D. This has to be one of the most sought after trilobites from the Waldron Shale. A true museum quality trilobite!!
