Here has to be the strangest and most bizarre trilobite ever found in Indiana and possibly the world. This trilobite, Spathacalymene nasuta, is extremely rare and only known by a few complete specimens. It has a large snout projection off the front of the glabella that was used to stir up sediment or dig in sediment for feeding. It is an extremely well preserved trilobite and is very 3-D. It measures a whopping 3 1/4" long, 2 1/8" wide, and 3/4" high. Some people don't even believe this trilobite is real, but believe me, it is 100% real!!
