Melocrinus oblongusWaldron Shale FormationClark County, IN
SilurianHere is another example of an extremely rare crinoid from the Waldron Shale Formation. This crinoid, Melocrinus oblongus, was found in a new road cut locality in southern Indiana. It has a very ornate plate structure that makes it one of the more beautiful crinoids found in the Waldron Shale. The cup measures 7/8" long.
