Gravicalymene celebraWabash FormationWayne County, IN
SilurianHere is a trilobite that has had several names over the past 20 years. First, it was known as Calymene celebra, then Sthenocalymene celebra, and finally Gravicalymene celebra. This very robust specimen is very common in Ohio and Illinois, but Indiana specimens are hard to find, especially this nice. This specimen measures 1 7/8" long and would be over 2" if the tail was tucked in.
