SilurianHere is an absolutely killer specimen of an ultra rare Dalmanites halli. This trilobite was found about 4 years ago on one of the last collecting days allowed at the St. Paul Stone Quarry. There have been less than a handful of specimens found this nice and I was lucky enough to find two in the 17 years I hunted the quarry. This specimen is extremely well preserved, very 3-D, and simply stated, maybe the best Dalmanites ever to be found in the Waldron Shale Formation. The trilobite measures just over 1 3/4" long.

SilurianHere is a pristine and extremely rare trilobite from the Waldron Shale Formation of central Indiana. This trilobite, Dalmanites halli, is one of the most sought after trilobites in the world. What makes this trilobite even more unique is the regenerated genal spine on the left hand side of the trilobite. This trilobite, one of my all time favorites, measures 1 1/4" long.
