Here is an extremely rare organism from the class, Merostomata and order, Aglaspida. This animal, Beckwithia typa, is one of the rarest and most aesthetic organisms to be found in the Weeks Formation. This specimen shows a positive impression with the trademark iridescent blue exoskeleton found predominantly on the head, on the axial rings and pleurons of the thorax, and on the thoracic spine. This extremely rare specimen measures about 1 1/4" long.

Here is an extremely rare trilobite-eating organism from the class, Merostomata and order, Aglaspida. This animal, Beckwithia typa, is one of the rarest and most aesthetic organisms to be found in the Weeks Formation. This specimen shows a monster positive impression with the trademark iridescent blue and very granulose exoskeleton. It also exhibits a very stout axial spine.  This extremely rare specimen measures a whopping 5 1/2" long.
